Choose the tool for the job you actually do

A short clip needs a complete thought, readable captions and framing that preserves the conversation. In CastCuts, upload your recording, review automatic English transcript-based suggestions or select your own timestamps, then choose full-frame or fixed-crop portrait video. You control which draft becomes a finished clip.

When CastCuts may fit

CastCuts may fit a creator who edits English video podcasts, reviews every clip and publishes downloaded files themselves. The paid upgrade is specifically for clean new exports. Try the same recording on Free before paying so you can judge transcription, crop and output quality for your show.

  • You want a $9 USD monthly option for removing CastCuts branding from new exports.
  • 720 × 1280 vertical MP4 is sufficient for your workflow.
  • You can download finished clips within the 24-hour media retention period.
  • You prefer to review suggestions and control your own publishing.

When to keep looking

If you need higher resolution, multilingual transcription, automatic social posting, team collaboration or long-term project storage, compare those requirements with another tool’s current plan. CastCuts currently supports automatic English transcription, has no direct social publishing or scheduling, and keeps presenter/whiteboard framing in a limited preview. No clip performance or virality score is promised.

Run a useful side-by-side trial

Use an episode you have permission to edit. Pick one guest answer, one exchange with two speakers and one section containing a name or number. Compare the caption corrections needed, the framing, the exported file and the total subscription cost. Keep your originals and download your test files before either service’s retention period ends.
