Prepare several candidate timestamps before editing, then work through the excerpts one at a time. Give each a distinct takeaway, review its framing and captions, and download the finished files. This is an organized manual workflow; CastCuts does not offer a one-click bulk publishing or batch-render command.
Make a small shortlist before rendering
Review the recording or available English transcript-based suggestions and note the start, end and intended takeaway for each candidate. Remove repeated ideas and passages needing too much context. Check source limits before uploading: CastCuts currently accepts sources up to 512 MiB and two hours, with up to ten clips per episode. Those limits are separate from the number of worthwhile excerpts.
Review repeated choices without applying them blindly
The same show can still need different framing for a close-up, a two-person exchange and a slide. Check every excerpt rather than assuming one crop fits the whole recording. Review names once for reference, then verify each caption in context. Add a headline that describes the specific clip. Requests use a processing queue; submitting more work does not guarantee simultaneous processing or priority.
Download and label each approved file
Keep the source filename, timestamps and final post text in your own document. Give downloaded clips useful local filenames that distinguish the takeaway and version. CastCuts retains episode media for 24 hours, and clips expire with their source. Verify the files play before ending the session. Keep publishing status in your own calendar, since direct posting and scheduling are unavailable.
A shortlist prevents repeated edits
Illustrative example. The people, recordings and results described here are fictional.
A fictional editor lists four candidates, then notices that two explain the same preparation habit. They keep the clearer answer, add a story excerpt and reserve a separate Q&A for later. The session produces three distinct files rather than four near-duplicates. Each file is checked and saved locally with its source timestamps.
Organize decisions in advance, but approve the actual rendered result for every clip.
Check before you finish
- The shortlist contains distinct takeaways within current limits.
- Every clip has its own framing, caption and boundary review.
- Approved files and source references are saved outside temporary storage.
Practical questions
Does CastCuts have automatic batch rendering?
This guide describes making several clips manually in one session. It does not advertise a bulk-render command, parallel processing or automatic social distribution.
Does Pro increase the clip limit or queue priority?
Pro removes CastCuts branding from new renders. It keeps the same processing and storage limits as Free and does not add queue priority.
Use this workflow in CastCuts
Check Free and Pro limits before planning the session
CastCuts selects continuous 1–90 second excerpts and exports 9:16, 720 × 1280 H.264/AAC MP4 files. Automatic transcription and transcript-based suggestions support English and require review. Free exports include CastCuts branding; Pro removes it from new renders for $9 USD/month, with the same processing and storage limits. Episode media is retained for 24 hours. Keep your originals and download finished clips before expiry. Publishing is manual.
