## Try your actual episode before subscribing

Upload a video podcast or import a permitted video link. Free automatic English transcription and transcript-based clip suggestions help you find a starting point. Review the suggestion or choose your own 1–90 second section, correct caption text and add a short opening headline. Both plans use the same editing tools.

- Use a recording with both video and audio; audio-only audiograms are not supported.

- Preview a full-frame layout for two speakers, or a fixed portrait crop for a close-up.

- Check names, numbers and where captions sit before exporting.

## What changes when you choose Pro?

New clips rendered while Pro is active have no CastCuts watermark. A file already exported with branding does not change when you subscribe: render it again while its source is still available. Pro does not remove someone else’s watermark from an uploaded video.

## Check the limits before you pay

The output is a 9:16, 720 × 1280 MP4 with H.264 video and AAC audio. Pro keeps the same processing limits as Free and does not add queue priority, higher resolution or longer storage. Download your clips promptly: media is retained for 24 hours after upload or import completes, and clips expire with their episode.

- Sources: up to 512 MiB and two hours, with up to 10 episodes and 4 GiB of storage per account.

- Keep up to 10 clips per episode, each 1–90 seconds long.

- Automatic transcription supports English. Review its accuracy before publishing.

- Upload the downloaded MP4 to your social account yourself; direct posting and scheduling are unavailable.

## Make the upgrade fit your workflow

If a branded clip is enough to test an idea, stay on Free. If you publish clips regularly and want exports that carry only your own content, Pro is the option to consider. It renews monthly until canceled; canceling stops future renewals at the end of the paid period. Payments are non-refundable except where required by law.

### Are watermark-free podcast clips free?

On CastCuts, Free exports include castcuts.co branding. Pro costs $9 USD per month and removes that branding from new renders. Test the editor on Free before deciding.

### Does Pro include captions?

Both Free and Pro include automatic English transcription and captions from a timed transcript. You can correct caption text, choose a larger caption size and add an opening headline. Transcription needs review and can queue.

### Can I export 1080p or keep videos for a month?

CastCuts currently exports 720 × 1280 vertical MP4 files and retains media for 24 hours on both plans. If you need 1080p exports or long-term cloud storage, the current service will not meet that requirement.
