# How to repurpose podcast clips for LinkedIn

> Choose a professional takeaway from a podcast, prepare a clear vertical video and upload it to LinkedIn with relevant context and a reviewed preview.

Choose a podcast passage that answers a work-related question your LinkedIn audience recognizes. Keep the practical explanation, add accurate captions and write a post that names the topic. Export the MP4 from CastCuts, then upload and review it in LinkedIn yourself.

## Choose a useful professional question

Look for a specific decision, a method or a lesson with enough context to be useful. A broad motivational line may say less than a concrete example of how a guest prepared an interview, explained a result or handled a project trade-off. Preserve the conditions that limit the advice, and avoid adding a business outcome the recording does not support.

## Prepare the video and its explanation

Select a complete 1–90 second passage. Review the crop or keep the full frame if another person or a slide matters. Correct English captions, add a concise opening headline and render the clip. Write the post text separately, identifying the source and offering one relevant question or next step. CastCuts does not generate a LinkedIn campaign or connect to a company Page.

## Upload through LinkedIn and check the preview

LinkedIn’s help describes uploading a video through the post share box. Choose your downloaded file, review the available thumbnail and caption options, check visibility, and add your post text. Review the preview before publishing. LinkedIn says creators cannot directly post into its immersive video feed; do not treat a vertical export as a guarantee of a particular distribution surface.

## Turn a general quote into a specific professional subject

Illustrative example. The people, recordings and results described here are fictional.

A fictional guest says a project meeting improved after the team wrote down the decision it needed to make. The clip can keep that example, with a headline such as ‘Give the meeting one decision’. A relevant post asks how others prepare decisions. It should not claim the method improves every team’s productivity or invent a measured result.

Match the audience’s question to what the guest actually explains.

## Check before you finish

- The passage offers a specific professional takeaway.

- The MP4, captions and post text preserve the same meaning.

- LinkedIn’s preview, visibility and any caption duplication are checked.

## Practical questions

### Will CastCuts post the clip to LinkedIn?

No. Download the MP4 and use LinkedIn’s publishing controls yourself. Review its current requirements before posting.

### Can I choose placement in the immersive video feed?

LinkedIn’s current help says you cannot directly add or post videos to that feed. Uploading a vertical video does not guarantee placement.
